My thanks to Theunlockr.com this week for helping me get my new MyTouch Android phone unlocked and flashed with a new custom version of the Android OS. 

For those out there looking for an alternative to Windows Mobile and the iPhone I would highly suggest that the MyTouch is the phone for you. great interface, apps and with a custom ROM on it it runs fast and smooth. For instructions on flashing a new ROM and configuring the phone follow the videos below.

First you will need to “root” the phone. 

Then the next step is to get a custom ROM onto the phone, the one I used is here, but there are quite a few to chose from at this page. Now lets add the custom ROM to the phone.

Congratulations!! your phone is rooted and free for any carrier and plan you want. Take that apple. Stay tuned as Adobe is planning on releasing flash for the Android OS soon.
