Already out-of-the-box SharePoint 2010 uses Silverlight to visualize data in rich UI; think about Visio Services, Workflow diagrams, the Office Web Applications etc. Extending SharePoint by building your own Silverlight applications is of course another great developer opportunity! This session will show you the basic steps to get started with Silverlight in SharePoint. After that more advanced topics such as deployment, custom Silverlight Web Parts and out-of-the-browser applications will be discussed as well.
